- Why we collect it: To show your position on hunting maps, provide accurate local weather forecasts, and help you mark stands, blinds, and trail cameras
- How we use it: Location data is used only while the app is in use (foreground). We may cache coordinates locally for offline map functionality
- Storage: Location data is stored in our secure database (Supabase) and associated with your user account
2. Photos and Images
- What we collect: Trail camera photos you upload
- Why we collect it: To provide AI-powered wildlife analysis and hunting insights
- How we use it: Images are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis, then stored in our secure storage (Supabase)

3. Account Information
- What we collect: Email address, password (encrypted), user profile data
- Why we collect it: To create and manage your account, enable data sync across devices
- How we use it: Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption
4. Usage Data
- What we collect: Species preferences, land boundaries, map markers, AI summary requests
- Why we collect it: To save your hunting/fishing data and provide personalized AI recommendations
- How we use it: This data is synced to the cloud to provide access across all your devices
5. Weather Data Requests
- What we collect: Location coordinates for weather lookups
- Third-party sharing: Requests are proxied through our secure backend to WeatherAPI.com

Field Master uses the following third-party services:

Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active

- Request deletion of your data (you can delete your account in the app settings)

Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- All API keys stored securely on backend servers (never exposed to clients)
- Passwords encrypted with industry-standard encryption
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Row Level Security (RLS) enabled on database
Children's Privacy
Field Master is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

In-App Purchases
Field Master offers subscription-based in-app purchases:
- Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store / Google Play Store
- Payment processing is handled by Apple/Google (we do not store credit card information)
- Subscription status is stored securely on your device for app access control
AI Usage Limits
To ensure fair usage and control costs, Field Master limits AI-powered features to 100 requests per user per day. This limit resets automatically at midnight UTC. This includes:
- AI hunting/fishing summaries
- Trail camera image analysis

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
